- Cooperation contract with Berlin-based fund company signed
- Order confirms forecasts for fiscal year 2007/2008 and opens up
additional revenue and earnings potential for the future
Sprakensehl-Bokel, 4 December 2007 - BKN BioKraftstoff Nord AG, a
financial and investment holding for regenerative energy sources, has won a
major order for the planning, development and construction of Biogas plants
through its Biogas subsidiary BIOSTROM valued at over EUR 75 m. In
addition, the biological process control as well as the technical
maintenance will also be rendered through a BIOSTROM subsidiary for all
locations in the future. The realisation of the project is to begin
immediately and will be concluded by the beginning of 2009. The Managing
Board at the same time is confirming the revenue and earnings forecast for
the current fiscal year 2007/2008 (revenues of approximately EUR 100 m with
an EBIT margin of ca. 8%).
The cooperation partners for the major order are VEXXRON GmbH and other
related companies headquartered in Berlin, which have long been positioned
successfully in the market with the issue of closed-end funds in the field
of biogas. In terms of the plants being planned, many are plant modules of
500 kW each and should also be used as both individual equipment in outer
zones and in commercial areas for the realisation of decentralised energy
and heating concepts. Another 3-MW project furthermore includes the
potential integration of a gas and steam turbine power plant.

in the strategic positioning of BKN through this major order: 'The targeted
