WorldWater Breaks Ground for Country's Largest Airport Solar System at Fresno Yosemite International

  WorldWater&Solar Technologies Corp.(OTC BB:WWAT.OB) (formerly WorldWater&Power Corp.), developer and marketer of proprietary high-power solar systems, today held an official groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a large scale solar electric system at Fresno Yosemite International Airport. The 2-megawatt installation is scheduled for completion by early 2008 and will be operated by WorldWater under a 20-year power-purchase contract awarded by the Fresno City Council. It is the largest solar project at any airport in the United States.

At the ceremony, Russ Widmar, Fresno Aviation Director said, “This is an exciting day for an airport that prides itself as a leader in technology. Our new solar system should save the airport about $13 million dollars over the next 20 years as well as help protect the environment with a major renewable energy source.“

Frank W. Smith, WorldWater's Chief Operating Officer also commented, “Solar is the ideal power solution for airports. Approximately five acres of raised solar panels will not only provide electricity but shade for rental car lots. An additional 20 acres of ground mounted photovoltaic arrays were approved by the FAA for installation in a portion of the airport's approach zone where occupied structures are not allowed, so otherwise unused real estate becomes a valuable asset.“

Quentin T. Kelly, Chairman and CEO of WorldWater&Solar Technologies Corp. commented on the event from the company's headquarters in New Jersey. “This is an important milestone for solar in the United States and reflects our strengths as a company. Fresno Yosemite International Airport is the major air transportation center for the City of Fresno and the San Joaquin Valley region. In 2006, it connected over 1.2 million passengers to destination throughout the United States as well as to Mexico.

WIN Semiconductors bestellt AIXTRON-Produktionsanlage für Solarzellen


Aachen, 10. Juli 2007 – Im ersten Quartal 2007 hat die AIXTRON AG einen Auftrag von WIN Semiconductors Corporation, Taiwan erhalten. Das Unternehmen, ein führender Hersteller von Hochfrequenzchips, hat sein Produktportfolio erweitert und plant nun auch, Solarzellen herzustellen. Dieser neue Geschäftsbereich wird unter anderem auf einer AIXTRON AIX 2600G3 IC-Anlage basieren.


Mit dieser neuen Anlage wird WIN Semiconductors so genannte Triple-Junction-Solarzellen auf Germanium-Trägermaterialien herstellen, die für terrestrische Anwendungen geeignet sind. Der Kunde hat dafür einen modernen Reinraum in Kuei Shan Hsiang in Taiwan gebaut, in dem die Anlage zu stehen kommt.


WIN Semiconductors ist auf die Entwicklung und Produktion von Hochfrequenzchips, die auf Galliumarsenid- (GaAs-) Materialien basieren, spezialisiert. Es ist eines der ersten Unternehmen in Taiwan, das einen potentiellen Markt für Solarzellen aus Verbindungshalbleitern für terrestrische Anwendungen sieht.

Un das obwohl es am Freitag in den USA gut gelaufen ist, kann nicht verstehen warum Leute jetzt ihre Shares schmeißen!

Tja, das ist wohl der Schlüssel zum Reichtum. Aber bestimmt gibt es da tausende von phsychologischen Studien drüber ....  ist doch das gleiche wie im Supermarkt .. da wird das Kaufverhalten auch auf abenteurlichste Weise beeinflusst.

Dahinter stecken müsste mal halt nur.

Naja, so schwer ist das auch nicht: MARKETING ist da natürlcih das Stichwort:
