WorldWater & Solar Technologies Selected for $4 Million Solar Contract by City Council of Ocean City, New Jersey
Tuesday March 11, 11:50 am ET Council Chooses WorldWater to Build Largest Municipal Solar Installation in New Jersey

EWING, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--WorldWater & Solar Technologies Corp. (OTC BB:WWAT.OB - News), developer and marketer of proprietary high-power solar systems, today announced that the City Council of Ocean City, NJ has awarded the Company a contract to build a $4 million solar system for the City which is expected to produce nearly 550,000 kilowatt hours of energy in its first year. The Ocean City Municipal Solar Energy Power Project will include roof mounts on the Cultural Arts and Community Center, the new Public Works Complex building, the Vehicle Maintenance Center and the Sports and Civic Center.

The award for the long-term Power Purchase Agreement with WorldWater is expected to allow Ocean City to offset approximately 17% of the City’s total yearly electricity requirements for buildings that it owns and/or operates. The project is expected to be completed later this year.

“This is a win-win for WorldWater and the State of New Jersey,” said Quentin T. Kelly, Chairman and CEO. “Following on our successful installations elsewhere in the state, these rooftop applications will save Ocean City millions of dollars overall and once again prove that sustainable energy is a sensible solution as oil prices remain at record levels. Under WorldWater’s awarded contract, which lasts 15 years, the company will receive $1.6 million in rebates from the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities, along with solar renewable energy credits (SRECs) and federal tax credits on top of the ongoing electric billings to be paid by Ocean City. We are pleased to continue providing New Jersey residents with cutting edge, environmentally-friendly ways to power their way to the future.”

Four proposals were received by the City, which selected WorldWater. Mayor Salvatore Perillo stated: “At a time when we are seeing double-digit increases in annual electric costs, this is welcomed savings. The savings will start in July and will help us to reduce our energy budget.”

WorldWater & Solar Technologies Corp. is a global leader in the design, engineering and delivery of solar energy systems. The largest source of carbon dioxide emissions, the leading cause of global warming, is caused by electric power generating stations burning fossil fuel.

In addition to Megawatts of installations in the US and globally, solar installations completed by WorldWater in the State of New Jersey include: the Federal Courthouse Annex in Trenton; Liberty Science Center in Jersey City; Atlantic County Utilities Authority Water Treatment Plant in Atlantic City; Voorhees Middle School in Voorhees Township; Ray Angelini Incorporated (RAI) Electrical Contractors in Sewell and Richard Stockton College in Pomona.

This installation by WorldWater will eliminate over 820,000 lbs of CO2 being released in the atmosphere.

WICHTIG:

Both the 3 MW and 10 MW projects are planned for construction in 2008....

The pressure is on to complete solar projects by September 29, 2008 in order to receive the current feed-in tariff of 44 Euro cents per kilowatt hour. After September, the Spanish Government is planning a lower feed-in tariff, still very attractive at an estimated 31 Euro cents, but firms holding current licenses can realize the maximum by completing projects before the September date -- and we have the engineering teams in Spain to construct these projects.”

The four projects in Italy are:
250 KW pilot site in Lecce 1 MW installation in Palermo 1 MW installation in Rome 1 MW installation in Foggia

The LOI is subject only to contractual negotiations. WorldWater & Solar will engage SDE as its solar marketer in Italy. All projects are scheduled to begin construction in the second quarter of 2008. The new LOI reflects WorldWater’s market strides in Europe following on the 3 MW project with Ingenium Energética S.L. of Barcelona, announced on Dec. 13, and the 10 MW project with M&G Promociones de Vivienda Urbana S.A. of Madrid.

The solar projects for SDE and M&G Promociones will use the WorldWater-ENTECH 20x Concentrator Technology and modules, and are planned to be implemented as soon as the ENTECH modules are manufactured by WorldWater, with volume delivery expected in the Spring of 2008. The Ingenium project in Spain will use single access flat plate modules

WorldWater & Solar Technologies Breaks Ground On Two-Megawatt Solar System At Denver International Airport
Wednesday March 5, 3:01 am ET
Initiative Will Generate 3.5 Million Kilowatt-hours (kWh) of Clean Electricity Annually for Fifth Busiest International Airport in the U.S., Supporting Denver's Commitment to Environmental Sustainability

EWING, N.J., March 5, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- WorldWater & Solar Technologies Corp. (OTC BB:WWAT.OB - News), developer and marketer of proprietary high-power solar systems, has broken ground on the 2-Megawatt solar system for Denver International Airport (DIA). The solar installation will supply 3.5 million kilowatt-hours of clean energy annually for the airport and is valued at over $13 million. Since first announced last year, the project faced some unavoidable delays but is now scheduled for completion by August, in time for the Democratic National Convention. DIA is the fifth busiest international airport in the U.S. and served nearly 50 million passengers in 2007.

The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by representatives from WorldWater, DIA and MMA Renewable Ventures LLC, a subsidiary of Municipal Mortgage & Equity. MMA is financing the solar installation and will own and operate the system. In addition to reducing DIA's electric costs, the WorldWater solar system will eliminate more than 5 million pounds of carbon dioxide from the air every year for a minimum of 25 years.

WorldWater & Solar's ground mounted photovoltaic or ``PV'' solar arrays will be located at the entrance to DIA's main terminal on approximately 7.5 acres of otherwise unusable land. It will utilize a state-of-the-art single-axis tracking system that follows the sun throughout the day for greater efficiency and energy production. A similar system is currently being installed by WorldWater at Fresno Yosemite International Airport in Fresno, CA.

``The WorldWater project will give Denver International Airport one of the largest airport solar energy systems in the country,'' said Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper. ``It's an innovative alternative-energy project that will save money on electricity and substantially reduce our carbon dioxide emissions at DIA. It's a perfect fit within our Greenprint Denver action agenda for sustainable practices. We look forward to having it up and running this summer.''

Quentin T. Kelly, Chairman and CEO of WorldWater, commented, ``Thanks to our major solar installations at DIA and also at Fresno International, WorldWater has become the leading solar contractor of airports in the U.S. Our expertise in solar energy generation and integrated systems design makes us well suited to address the complex power needs of a major transportation hub like Denver International, while significantly reducing electric costs and helping improve air quality.''

``With its longstanding commitment to sustainable operations and environmental protection, the solar energy system will serve DIA as a highly visible environmental statement to the millions of passengers that travel through our airport each month, including visitors to the Democratic National Convention who will be here in August,'' said Turner West, Aviation Manager for Denver International Airport.

Kelly retires from the CEO position and will continue as non-executive Chairman of the Board of WorldWater.

Dr. Smith, 49, has served as Executive Vice President and COO of WorldWater since February of 2007 and brings over 20 years of experience in strategic planning, business development, and operations management. Prior to his joining WorldWater, Dr. Smith served as Vice President of Strategy and Business Development at EMCORE Corporation, where he identified target acquisitions, managed the due diligence process, and provided strategic direction for the company.
