Kelly, Chairman and CEO, WorldWater & Solar Technologies. ``These powerful, complex systems will be capable of generating hundreds of megawatts of power for our customers in the U.S., Spain, Italy and other countries. We are confident that Sean is the right fit for our strategic growth plan, bringing the experience and leadership we need to expand our EPC capabilities.''
``Mr. Rooney has twenty years of experience in successfully executing complex construction projects all over the world, worth in excess of $500 million and in many cases completed ahead of schedule,'' stated Dr. Frank Smith, Executive Vice President and COO of WorldWater & Solar. ``This will enable us to quickly and efficiently expedite these big projects.'' Mr. Rooney will report to Dr. Smith.
Over the past decade, Mr. Rooney rose to become Global Director of Construction Services for the Fluor Corporation, one of the world's largest engineering, procurement, construction, and maintenance services companies, with projects located in North and South America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Africa and Australia.

WorldWater & Solar Technologies Selected for $4 Million Solar Contract by City Council of Ocean City, New Jersey
Tuesday March 11, 11:50 am ET Council Chooses WorldWater to Build Largest Municipal Solar Installation in New Jersey
ADVERTISEMENT
The award for the long-term Power Purchase Agreement with WorldWater is expected to allow Ocean City to offset approximately 17% of the City’s total yearly electricity requirements for buildings that it owns and/or operates. The project is expected to be completed later this year.
“This is a win-win for WorldWater and the State of New Jersey,” said Quentin T. Kelly, Chairman and CEO. “Following on our successful installations elsewhere in the state, these rooftop applications will save Ocean City millions of dollars overall and once again prove that sustainable energy is a sensible solution as oil prices remain at record levels. Under WorldWater’s awarded contract, which lasts 15 years, the company will receive $1.6 million in rebates from the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities, along with solar renewable energy credits (SRECs) and federal tax credits on top of the ongoing electric billings to be paid by Ocean City. We are pleased to continue providing New Jersey residents with cutting edge, environmentally-friendly ways to power their way to the future.”
Four proposals were received by the City, which selected WorldWater. Mayor Salvatore Perillo stated: “At a time when we are seeing double-digit increases in annual electric costs, this is welcomed savings. The savings will start in July and will help us to reduce our energy budget.”
WorldWater & Solar Technologies Corp. is a global leader in the design, engineering and delivery of solar energy systems. The largest source of carbon dioxide emissions, the leading cause of global warming, is caused by electric power generating stations burning fossil fuel.
In addition to Megawatts of installations in the US and globally, solar installations completed by WorldWater in the State of New Jersey include: the Federal Courthouse Annex in Trenton; Liberty Science Center in Jersey City; Atlantic County Utilities Authority Water Treatment Plant in Atlantic City; Voorhees Middle School in Voorhees Township; Ray Angelini Incorporated (RAI) Electrical Contractors in Sewell and Richard Stockton College in Pomona.
This installation by WorldWater will eliminate over 820,000 lbs of CO2 being released in the atmosphere.

WICHTIG:
Both the 3 MW and 10 MW projects are planned for construction in 2008....
The pressure is on to complete solar projects by September 29, 2008 in order to receive the current feed-in tariff of 44 Euro cents per kilowatt hour. After September, the Spanish Government is planning a lower feed-in tariff, still very attractive at an estimated 31 Euro cents, but firms holding current licenses can realize the maximum by completing projects before the September date -- and we have the engineering teams in Spain to construct these projects.”
The four projects in Italy are:
The LOI is subject only to contractual negotiations. WorldWater & Solar will engage SDE as its solar marketer in Italy. All projects are scheduled to begin construction in the second quarter of 2008. The new LOI reflects WorldWater’s market strides in Europe following on the 3 MW project with Ingenium Energética S.L. of Barcelona, announced on Dec. 13, and the 10 MW project with M&G Promociones de Vivienda Urbana S.A. of Madrid.
The solar projects for SDE and M&G Promociones will use the WorldWater-ENTECH 20x Concentrator Technology and modules, and are planned to be implemented as soon as the ENTECH modules are manufactured by WorldWater, with volume delivery expected in the Spring of 2008. The Ingenium project in Spain will use single access flat plate modules

(OTC BB:WWAT.OB), developer and marketer of proprietary high-horsepower solar systems, today announced that, in line with its planned succession and effective immediately, Dr. Frank W. Smith has been promoted from COO to Chief Executive Officer and elected to the Board of Directors of WorldWater & Solar Technologies Corp. As previously announced, former CEO Quentin T. Kelly retires from the CEO position and will continue as non-executive Chairman of the Board of WorldWater.
Dr. Smith, 49, has served as Executive Vice President and COO of WorldWater since February of 2007 and brings over 20 years of experience in strategic planning, business development, and operations management. Prior to his joining WorldWater, Dr. Smith served as Vice President of Strategy and Business Development at EMCORE Corporation, where he identified target acquisitions, managed the due diligence process, and provided strategic direction for the company.
“Frank has shown the vision and experience to take WorldWater to the next level by providing highly effective management solutions for our company as our business grows,” said Quentin T. Kelly, Chairman of the Board. “He has the appropriate hands-on expertise to lead the Company to profitable operations and to tackle the challenges that come with rapid growth. Frank was hired last year with the intention of bringing him into the role of CEO. He has demonstrated his capabilities, and as a result, we expect a smooth transition in the coming weeks. I am extremely proud and honored to have led our company from a small start-up firm to a top-tier, publicly-held provider of alternative energy systems, and, as Chairman, I will continue to focus my interests on benefiting WorldWater but as a long-term strategist with an eye toward increasing new business development. The Board and I know that Frank will handle the Chief Executive responsibilities most effectively.”
Dr. Smith added, "WorldWater is at a critical juncture in its corporate history. The solar business is growing at an accelerating pace, as demand for clean energy continues to increase throughout the globe. In this expanding market, we are well positioned to take advantage of numerous growth opportunities. We now need to execute to plan and improve our financial results – which we clearly intend to do. I have never been more excited about an opportunity than I am about implementing WorldWater’s growth strategy and building its business both in the U.S. and internationally."
